James E. Maresh, MD, FACS, attended the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and received his medical degree in 1970. Then, he served his general surgery internship at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland AFB, TX. Furthermore, he conducted his general surgery residency and breast surgery fellowship at the Virginia Mason and Hospital & Seattle Medical Center in Seattle, WA. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in hematology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition, Dr. Maresh received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery. And, he remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations.
